I've been talking much about feelings and changes and not much about gains. What I can say about that is, almost every single one of my shirts are feeling tight on my arms now.
The shape of my body is changing in ways that aren't muscle related, sure. My hands look less boney and more dainty. Its like the wrists are thinner, though it could also be because the musculature of my forearm is considerably bigger now. I feel like I look slimmer on my arms. My butt is getting massive as mentioned beforehand. Though I feel like this is better shown with pictures.
So, heres some comparision pics:
A thumbsup pic from the second week of april, while I was on T, in front of a mirror and horribly sunburnt:
Thumbs up on may 6, close to 4 weeks without T:
Thumbsup on may 19, 5~6 weeks without T:
(I was sitting in that picture. My hips got larger but not THAT much)
You can see my shirt is actually getting stretched on my arm. That wasn't happening at the time of the first picture.
This is a picture I took on a random store mirror some days ago (left) vs a similar pose on T (right):
Recent picture of my back
The best pictures of my back I could find from back when I was on T lol
I have two pics in similar poses, some weeks without T (left) vs. while on T (right):
This might be a good comparision too. Same shirt, doing the same poses, left is while on T and right is today 44 days without T:
Its not exactly the same angle, but good enough for a comparision I guess. Just wearing this shirt now already feels different. Its very tight on my back. You can see the arms are filling more space in the sleeves. Position aside, the sleeves also don't go as far down due to the extra space being used by my back and shoulders.
Basically I feel like I'm more muscular now, though the body fat redistribuition is happening and some things look thinner/thicker in a way thats not related to muscle growth or loss. One month isn't much to truly feel the changes of HRT (or lack thereof), so we will see the real efficiency of using the gym as a way to masculinise yourself without hormones like 6 or 8 months from now.
One thing is certain though, whatever I'm gaining now is the result of working out without hormonal therapy, and whatever my body chooses to mantain will be things that are aechivable without T. This also accounts for muscle growth speed and distribuition, as I am no longer under the influence of T, my hormonal levels were probably back to factory settings after two weeks without it. So its impossible to think that something like "remaining T in my body is making my workout easier", for example. I've even talked about how the hormonal change made me change my working out pace and the difficulties I faced. Every muscle growth from now on is unrelated to previous testosterone usage.
